Transformation plans have been put forward for a former Argos in a town blighted in recent years by shop closures.
Chris Townsend, 71, who is retired and from Rise Park, said: "The shopping areas are being taken over a bit by charity shops. But then we have a lot of closed shops."It's a fairly big space so I think a furniture shop probably makes sense. It will be good to get it back into use, they've done the roof up in the last couple of weeks as well."
