TEHERÁN (AP) — Miles de iraníes se concentraron en las calles el sábado para conmemorar el aniversario de la toma de la embajada de Estados Unidos en Teherán en 1979, con cánticos de “muera Estados Unidos” y “muera Israel” y a la vez condenar el apoyo de Washington a Israel al atacar la Franja de Gaza en su guerra contra Hamas.

Convocada por el Estado, la gente se concentró frente a la antigua embajada de Estados Unidos en Teherán y algunos quemaron banderas estadounidenses e israelíes. Los manifestantes pisotearon retratos del primer ministro israelí Benjamin Netanyahu y el presidente estadounidense Joe Biden. La pancarta en el estrado principal llevaba la leyenda “Pisoteamos a Estados Unidos bajo nuestros pies”.
