Engineers repairing a remote Scottish lighthouse were surprised to discover a message in a bottle, hidden inside the lighthouse walls for over 130 years. The bottle, found within the Corsewall Lighthouse, contained a letter written with quill and ink, detailing the 1892 installation of a new lantern and lens, and listing the names of the engineers and lighthouse keepers.
The letter is now being held at the Northern Lighthouse Board's offices, and the current crew plans to leave their own message for future generations
