The Three Lions made a sluggish start to the game and Senegal came close twice during the early stages.
But England went ahead with their first clear-cut chance. Jude Bellingham broke free in behind the Senegal defence and he pulled the ball back to Jordan Henderson, who calmly tapped the ball home past Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy. Bellingham charged forward with the ball and he waited patiently before playing it to Phil Foden. The Man City star then touched it onto Kane, who smashed the ball past Mendy.Foden did well to ride a rash challenge and he played in Bukayo Saka who was able to dink the ball over Mendy and into the corner for England’s third.
