Football fans from England and Wales appear to have clashed after violent scenes erupted at a Tenerife nightspot. Punches and chairs appear to be thrown in a video shared on social media last night , showing the CC Veronicas strip in Playa de las Americas.
Many of those involved appear to be wearing football shirts, while several can be seen with red Welsh bucket hats on the street, Wales Online reports. It comes ahead of England and Wales playing against each other in their final group fixture at World Cup 2022 in Qatar next Tuesday.Many fans opted against travelling to the Middle East country owing to strict regulations on alcohol as well as lack of accommodation and the cost implications, all of which would might hamper their fan experience.
