England cricket fans have erupted in debate over whether the 'BazBall' approach will be successful in the Ashes after the team suffered a historic loss against New Zealand.
New Zealand levelled the two match series on a thrilling final day that saw the Black Caps become just the fourth side to win a Test match after following-on.
England’s new coach Brendan McCullum, a kiwi cricket legend, has imposed an aggressive and entertaining style of cricket dubbed “BazBall” on the team. Cricket writer Peter Miller added: “Genuinely love what England are trying to do, but this is the danger of being hyper aggressive in every decision. Have to give teams credit for the ability to play well and come back into a match.”
Am amazing as this game was, and as brilliant as BazBall is, the more I think about it this really was poor of England to lose this game. Stokes spoke after the devastating loss in New Zealand and insisted the team would continue to play an aggressive and entertaining style of cricket.
