Football fans could be seen watching the match on mobile phones and laptops
Kings of Leon were performing for one night only for the final UK date in the band's Can We Please Have Fun World Tour.
Not everyone was pleased that at times the football was getting a bigger reaction than the band. One fan hit out saying that Kings of Leon 'deserve better' and that if football is more important they should have perhaps 'stayed away'. But the band seem to take it all in their stride and were encouraging the football celebrations, with the final score even appearing on the screen behind them and frontman Caleb Followhill declaring 'it's coming home'.
If they were bothered by their fans' being somewhat distracted by the beautiful game, they certainly didn't show it.
