England’s preparations for Euro 2024 continue England play Brazil in a mouthwatering international friendly at Wembley tonight. The Three Lions are less than three months out from the start of Euro 2024 and the clash with the South American giants will be a perfect acid test for their tournament plans. Gareth Southgate will likely want to field a team as close as possible to the one which will take to the pitch for their opening Euro 2024 group fixture against Serbia on June 16.
Liverpool’s Joe Gomez has been named in the squad for the first time since 2020 owing to England’s injury crisis at right back, while Ivan Toney features for the first time since being banned by the FA for breaking betting rules last spring. Kobbie Mainoo could be in line to make his England debut having been called-up from the Under-21 squad earlier in the week.
