Epy Quizon said yes to working on “ Pulang Araw ” as a way to honor his late father, Dolphy.In the highly anticipated historical series, the actor plays Julio Borromeo, the father of Adelina and Teresita , a vaudeville theater owner pre-war, who passed on his passion and talents to Adelina and Teresita, and would perform alongside them.
According to the actor, he was supposed to take a break from show business, but just had to accept the role. “Nung pinakita sa ‘kin ‘yung character description at tsaka ‘yung concept nito, sabi ko, ‘I want to be part of this,’” Epy said.“Pulang Araw” traces the intertwined lives of four childhood friends: Adelina , Teresita , Hiroshi , and Eduardo .
