Netflix has shared the official Eric trailer for its forthcoming limited drama, starring Benedict Cumberbatch.
The video highlights the investigation into the disappearance of a young boy, whose chances of returning alive keeps decreasing each hour the police fail to find him. Despite this, his father remained hopeful that he’ll find his way back home. The miniseries will start streaming on May 30.“Set in 1980s New York, the limited drama follows the desperate search of a father when his nine year old son disappears one morning on the way to school,” reads the synopsis.
Described as an emotional thriller, Eric is a six-episode miniseries written and executive produced by Abi Morgan through her Little Chick banner, with Lucy Forbes directing. It also stars Gaby Hoffmann, Ivan Morris Howe, McKinley Belcher III, Roberta Colindrez, Jeff Hephner, Dan Fogler, Clarke Peters, Adepero Oduye and more. In addition to starring, Cumberbatch is also serving as an executive producer alongside Jane Featherstone, Lucy Dyke, and Carolyn Strauss.
