Man United fans are trying to work out what Erik ten Hag was saying to new signing Joshua Zirkzee at full-time after his disallowed goal in their 2-1 defeat to Brighton on Saturday.
The 20-time Premier League champions thought they went 2-1 up in the 70th minute but the goal was disallowed after an offside Zirkzee, 23, got a slight touch as the ball was about to cross the goal line. Ten Hag was then seen demanding an explanation from the new striker as the players walked off the pitch and into the dressing room.The Dutch striker had a dream debut for his new club in their 1-0 win over Fulham in United’s opening game, but the honeymoon period quickly ended.United fans flocked to social media after Zirkzee and Ten Hag were seen having a long talk after the game.
