Manchester United must submit their 25-man Premier League squad for the coming season next week.
Manchester United's summer transfer window was often fraught and frustrating but ultimately fruitful as a host of new arrivals joined.
The squad has a more rounded look - even if injuries exposed the defensive depth in the weekend defeat to Arsenal - and the Reds will hope they have the balance and talent to compete on four fronts when the season resumes after the international break. Ten Hag cannot add to his ranks now until January, free agents aside, and over the next seven days must submit his squad to the Premier League. All top flight clubs must submit their 25-man list by Wednesday, September 13.
Under the current guidelines, clubs are allowed to name up to 25 players in their Premier League squad but teams cannot include more than 17 non-homegrown players on their respective lists, while the remaining players must be homegrown. After the summer transfer activity, United can fill their squad quota without leaving anybody out following the departure of Eric Bailly this week. The defender completed a permanent move to Turkish side Besiktas.
