Despite not coaching since 2007, Jeff Van Gundy was constantly in the rumor mill for plenty of open positions – all while he was a color commentator for ESPN. Well, ESPN quietly laid off the former Knicks and Rockets head coach before this NBA season started, and his brother Stan, who is also a head coach turned analyst on TNT, says they did his brother dirty. 'He was hurt by it, I mean he worked for them for 17 years.
I mean, after 17 years of being in arguably … the best game broadcast booth in the business in basketball, and being the kind of person he is, ESPN s--t on him.'
