A minute's applause will be held for Taylen Ireton during Ipswich's Premier League match on Sunday.
A 13-year-old boy killed in a collision with a car will be honoured with a minute's applause at a Premier League match.The teenager played for Wivenhoe Town Football Club's under-14s and was an avid Ipswich Town fan.
During Town's home game against Aston Villa at Portman Road on Sunday, fans will applaud during the 13th minute and a picture of Taylen will be shown on the ground's screen.The Colchester and District Youth Football League has also asked all teams to applaud for one minute before Sunday's games in memory of the teenager.
"We would like to pass on our condolences to Taylen's family and our thoughts are with them at this sad time," a spokesperson for the league said. Two 19-year-old men were arrested by Essex Police on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of the collision. An 18-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of the collision, the force said. AllTaylen, who was from Colchester, went to the Thomas Lord Audley school, which said pupils and staff had been "deeply affected by the death".Officers continue to appeal for information.
