Leeds United's captain could be back in the next week
Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has revealed he could hand a surprise early return to captain Ethan Ampadu after the midfielder made an unexpected return to training. Ampadu suffered knee ligament damage in Leeds' win over Coventry City back in September and was not expected to feature again this year, with an early January return pencilled in for the Welsh international.
Farke explained; "Ethan is back in full team training since this week and he looks good. He can handle the load. Normally when a player is out for such a long time, the first time the player is back in the squad after two or three weeks you would say he needs that two or three weeks of team training until he can come on.
