The 100ml liquid rule was scrapped at some EU airports but from today it has been brought back.
Changes have been re-introduced from today For people heading away for a last minute summer getaway there is some bad news as some EU airports re-introduce strict cabin rules. The 100ml liquids rule was scrapped at some EU airports but from today it has been brought back. A similar move was also introduced across some UK airports earlier this year in June following an announcement from the Department for Transport .
In a statement on the European Commission website, it states: ‘This precautionary measure is not in response to any new threat but addresses a temporary technical issue, undertaken in alignment with the EU’s international partners. ‘The Commission is collaborating closely with Member States and the European Civil Aviation Conference to develop swift technical solutions, ensuring the highest standards of safety and security in air travel.
