The European Union has imposed new sanctions on Iranian individuals and entities for their involvement in the transfer of ballistic missiles to Russia.
Foreign ministers from the European Union have approved new sanctions against seven individuals and seven entities linked to Iran after Kyiv's Western allies accused Tehran of sending ballistic missiles to Russia to aid in its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
'Today’s designation includes individuals and entities responsible for the development and transfer of unmanned aerial vehicles UAVs, missiles, and related technology to Russia in support of its war of aggression against Ukraine, and to armed groups and entities undermining peace and security in the Middle East and the Red Sea region,' the council said in a statement on October 14 . Those targeted are subject to an asset freeze and travel ban to the European Union.
