Lab tests showed they "are poorly effective at neutralizing Omicron strains BA.4.6, BA.2.75.2 and XBB," the Amsterdam-based regulator said in a statement. Antiviral treatments such as Pfizer's Paxlovid are expected to remain effective and so EU states should stock up on them for high-risk patients, the EMA said.
