Despite plenty on her high school plate to juggle, Trinity Grant still pulled out a 4.16 GPA. EUFAULA , Ala. - In high school, Trinity Gant had a lot on her plate.Juggling all this, she still pulled out a 4.16 GPA.“I was getting rejected, waitlisted left and right,” said Trinity. “It was kind of disheartening.”
Trinity got rejected from Duke, waitlisted from University of Georgia and didn’t get a full ride to Howard, but fate had something else in mind.“I applied and I didn’t think I would get in,” said Trinity. “I facetimed my mom and was like, ‘Guess what?’ and she said, ‘What?” I told her I got into Harvard and she said, ‘Shut up, you’re lying.”
Trinity got a full ride to Harvard, along with her scholarship from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. “Literally everything counts,” said Trinity. “There’s also going to be opportunities for me to study abroad through it too. I’m just so grateful for all that I got.”“Living in a single parent household, she’s done everything for us,” said Trinity. “She’s my biggest motivator. I hope every sacrifice she’s made for me, I can make up for when I go to school.”
