Freddie, a Eurasian lynx, has been rehomed at Shepreth Wildlife Park in Cambridgeshire after being rescued from the closed Cat Survival Trust in Hertfordshire. The trust's owner was found guilty of animal welfare offences, leading to the rescue of 28 animals, including Freddie. Shepreth Wildlife Park will provide Freddie with expert care, a specialized diet, and enrichment opportunities to ensure his well-being.

A Eurasian lynx has been rehomed after being removed from an animal sanctuary following major welfare concerns for several endangered big cats.

Rebecca Willers, the director of Shepreth Wildlife Park, said: "This rescue mission shows how wildlife parks and local authorities can work together to give rescued animals like Freddie a second chance."Freddie was moved after the closure of his former home, the Cat Survival Trust, in Hertfordshire "It is hard when you have limited resources available, however having cared for lynx previously for nearly two decades we knew we could recreate the perfect environment to meet all of his needs.
