Manchester United will be looking to go as far as possible in the Europa League this season after being eliminated from the group stages of the Champions League last season
Manchester United's journey in the Europa League will officially kick-off this week when they find out their opponents for the group phase.
United along with each team, will play eight league stage games, four at home and four away in a bid to finish as high as they can in the league table. The top eight will automatically advance into the round-of-16 while teams finishing between ninth and 24th, qualify for the knockout play-off round.
When is the Europa League draw? The Europa League draw is scheduled for Friday, August 30, taking place Monte Carlo, Monaco. The draw will begin at 12pm BST. Pot to be decided: Fenerbahce, Galatasaray, USG, Dynamo Kyiv, Red Star Belgrade or Bodo/Glimt, Lille or Slavia Prague, Dinamo Zagreb or Qarabag, Midtjylland or Slovan Bratislava, Ajax or Jagiellonia Bialystok, LASK or FCSB, Maccabi Tel Aviv or TSC, Shamrock Rovers or PAOK, Ferencvaros or Borac Banja Luka, Molde or Elfsborg, Braga or Rapid Wien, Hearts or Viktoria Plzen.
