Eurovision fans are convinced they've worked out the 2026 winner after watching the second semi-final

Fans of Eurovision believe they've uncovered the 2026 champion, just days ahead of the grand final. Presenters Victoria Swarovski and Michael Ostrowski made their return to the Wiener Stadthalle arena on Thursday for the second semi-final .

Another 15 nations graced the stage vying for their spot in Saturday's grand final, where they'll join the Big Four, alongside host country Austria. Earlier in the week, it was revealed that Belgium, Croatia, Finland, Greece, Israel, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Serbia, and Sweden had made it through, while Montenegro, Estonia, San Marino , Georgia, and Portugal failed to qualify.

Tonight's semi-final featured acts from Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Romania, Luxembourg, Czechia, Armenia, Switzerland, Cyprus, Latvia, Denmark, Australia, Ukraine, Albania, Malta, and Norway. Having witnessed all the competing nations perform, Eurovision viewers believe they've worked out the overall contest winner, with the trophy potentially making its way Down Under this year, reports the Express .

Australian icon Delta Goodrem commanded the stage this evening with her power ballad Eclipse, her staging and vocal delivery impressing both the live crowd and those tuning in from home. The act kicked off with a harpist, before the staging transformed from a lunar landscape into a solar realm. This built to a spectacular closing moment, which witnessed Delta elevate the song to fresh heights as she delivered soaring notes from an ascending golden platform.

Viewers were stunned on X , with one fan posting: 'YESSSSS DELTA GOODREM. Best performance of the night so far.

' Someone else commented: 'Australia, that was incredible,' while a third remarked: 'Goosebumps. @DeltaGoodrem is just spectacular. Australia for the win!

' A fourth supporter shared the enthusiasm, stating: 'Oh it's SO OVER! Melbourne 2027,' with another declaring: 'Delta was off the scale for Australia. She's defo the winner.

' Someone else posted: 'So the race is over then,' with another fan writing: 'DELTA GOODREM WINNER!!! 12 POINTS. ' Ahead of her first live performance, Delta encountered a hurdle as bookies tipped Denmark to win the second semi-final at 6/4 odds. According to BOYLE Sports, performer Søren Torpegaard Lund sits at 5/1 to win the overall competition with his track, Før Vi Går Hjem, trailing behind Finland.

Australia sat just behind at 15/8 to win the semi-final, alongside 12/1 odds of claiming victory, though this may have shifted following Delta's impressive showing this evening. The second semi-final also saw presenters Victoria and Michael launch the show with a distinctive rendition of JJ's 2025 winning number Wasted Love. Later, during the break, JJ made a comeback to the Eurovision stage with a fresh track.

Graham Norton will be back in the BBC commentary booth this weekend as the 70th grand final launches in stunning style. But who will claim the top prize? Only time will tell. The grand final of Eurovision 2026 will air on BBC One and iPlayer from 8pm on Saturday, May 16
