Guests have been turned away as the group that runs the site said it could 'no longer support its trading'
Events and bookings have been cancelled after the sudden closure of a popular hotel and wedding venue near Crick. Catthorpe Manor Estate ceased trading on Wednesday, September 20, seemingly coming as a surprise to staff and guests.
It also apologised for having not informed the affected parties sooner, reports Leicestershire Live. One couple, who had not been informed about the closure, travelled around 100 miles for a pre-booked stay at the hotel on Thursday, September 21. "It was very disappointing because it's a lovely place. We had arranged what we were doing the next day and where we were eating and everything. Someone could have contacted us," Mrs Williams said. The Catthorpe Manor Estate Facebook post read: "This decision has not been made lightly but has been taken to avoid further losses and following the wider group no longer being able to support its trading.
