In recent weeks, there have been reports that American businessman John Textor has shown interest in purchasing Everton.by The Sun, the 58-year-old ‘is trying to finalise a takeover deal’ for Everton and ‘also dispose of his Crystal Palace shares’. Textor currently owns 45 per cent of the Selhurst Park club.
The report also claimed that Textor could look to remove Dyche as the club’s manager if he is successful with his takeover bid.Portuguese Ferrerira led Brazilian side Palmeiras to the Serie A title last season and has caught the eyes of Textor, who also owns Botafogo in Rio as part of his Eagle Football Holdings empire.Aside from Ferreira, it has been said that Textor is also a fan of Paulo Fonseca but it could be difficult to lure him away from Italian Serie A giants AC Milan.
Speaking about his future last month, Dyche said: “I have not mentioned it to them and they have not mentioned it to me. I am well aware of the club, I am well aware of the predicament, and the last thing on my mind is my situation. “There is a much bigger picture than my situation and that is the club. I have always maintained that. The team, the club and the current situation is calmer, I am sure we would all agree on that, but still not solved and still not sorted. That won’t be an issue for me at the moment. I will keep doing what I do and that is working hard.”
