Everton's new recruits all have something in common
What Everton needed to do in the transfer market this summer was fairly straightforward. The team was solid defensively so the work there was in keeping hold of Jarrad Branthwaite - which, almost miraculously, they seemed to have done . In the middle of the pitch, reinforcements were not highest priority but were undoubtedly appreciated given the departure of Amadou Onana - youngster Tim Iroegbunam and the potential arrival of Kalvin Phillips is satisfactory.
The fact his side went through three different managers; Rudi Garcia, Walter Mazzarri, and Francesco Calzona, meant Lindstrom was never able to settle in to the team. Playing only 480 minutes last season, a fresh start on Merseyside could be just what the 24-year-old needs to revitalise his career - with Everton hoping to reap the rewards of a player with the bit between his teeth. Another of Everton's summer arrivals in a very similar position is Iliman Ndiaye .
