Captain Seamus Coleman says it is "hard to walk away from something you love" as he considers the offer of a new contract from Everton.

Republic of Ireland international Coleman, 35, has made a club-record 363 Premier League appearance for the Toffees since joining from Sligo Rovers for £60,000 in 2009. The full-back has been hampered by injuries this season and has played just 12 club games, including the full 90 minutes in Saturday's 1-0 win over Sheffield United.

"It’s been a hell of a ride - the last two or three years - and it’s not a case that you just turn up for work, go home and forget about it.As well as Coleman, fellow full-back Ashley Young and midfielders Andre Gomes, Idrissa Gueye and Dele Alli are all out of contract this summer, while the loan deals of Jack Harrison and Arnaut Danjuma will come to an end.
