Everton manager Sean Dyche faces questions about a potential takeover, Premier League hearing, and FFP as the club could potentially face a 12-point deduction for breaching profit and sustainability rules.
Sitting inside the media room at Finch Farm, Sean Dyche once again found himself in a familiar position.
“I get the feeling because I am around here a lot more now, and I speak to Evertonians, that there has always been that kind of edge about Everton,” Dyche replied when asked about creating an us against the world mentality. “I speak to Joe Royle, who is brilliant, and Reidy , and that was part of the marvel of Everton in that generation, that edge that Evertonians had and the team as well.
“It is the old-fashioned thing of wearing the shirt with pride. There is nothing wrong with that, and I have said this a lot over the years, but some of the stuff I talk about, I have never felt more modern because these things are deemed old-fashioned, but they are never more modern in my view. “With respect to Burnley, and I respect them greatly, but it’s a bigger concern generally. I think there is more going on anyway, and there have been a lot of ups and downs, especially over the last year or so.
