Following a missed opportunity against Chelsea, Everton fans are calling for the termination of Jack Harrison's loan spell from Leeds United.
Jack Harrison is facing calls for Everton to terminate his loan spell early after their goalless draw with Chelsea , with fans furious. The winger returned to the Toffees for a second consecutive spell on loan with the club from Championship side Leeds United. It has been a tough time for him at Goodison Park so far, with the 28-year-old scoring just four goals in 52 appearances in all competitions.
He also missed a big chance to improve that record somewhat against Chelsea on Sunday (22 December) in a moment that has left a number of Everton fans questioning his future at the club.An Illiman NDIaye cross from the left-hand side found Harrison unmarked just yards out at the back post, but with a clear strike at goal, his low effort was saved by the legs of Robert Sanchez. Reacting to footage on social media of the missed opportunity from the former Man City prospect, many Toffees fans were left calling for Harrison’s loan spell to be terminated sooner rather than later, with one calling it “shocking”. Another indicated it was only the latest golden opportunity the Englishman had squandered at Goodison, and a third called for the January transfer window to “roll on” so the loan from Elland Road can be cut short
