Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness believes the club are heading for a “stronger future” under 777 Partners but fears some top buyers could have been blocked by the never-ending takeover saga.
The US investment firm agreed to buy Farhad Moshiri’s 94.1 per cent stake for £500million in September, but funding issues have prevented completion of the takeover at Goodison.buy the Merseyside club for a cheaper price if they are relegated this season. The Toffees defeated relegation rivals Nottingham Forest on Sunday and fierce rivals Liverpool on Wednesday , winning both matches 2-0.
