Following a major power cut on Sunday, thousands of passengers faced cancelled and delayed flights at Manchester Airport . Power was later restored and the airport is expected to ‘run as usual’ today.
Manchester Airport’s managing director Chris Woodroofe apologised for those impacted and said that there had been 'a big power spike' in the airport's electrical system due to 'a failure'. In an update last night the airport said it ‘expected to run as normal’ today.It urged passengers to check the status of their flight today. After the disruption of yesterday it can be reassuring to know that your flight is going ahead.
