The search for missing British teenager Jay Slater, who vanished in Tenerife after attending the NRG music event over the weekend, has entered its eighth day
Despite a massive search operation involving helicopters, drones and sniffer dogs, British teenager Jay Slater remains missing in Tenerife. The youngster from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, was last known to have left the NRG music event on the Spanish island with two men, spending the night at an Airbnb in a rural area in the north west of the island before disappearing on Monday, June 17.
Top British detective Mark Williams-Thomas, who worked on the Nicola Bulley disappearance case, has reached out to Debbie. He told her he could find answers about Jay's disappearance 'in three days' and offered to assist Spanish police in Tenerife urgently, reports the Mirror. Debbie expressed her deep concern, stating she was "beside herself with worry" and feared that Jay had been abducted. She later disclosed receiving chilling phone calls from unidentified Brits with "northern accents", claiming they were holding her son captive due to an outstanding debt.
Friday, June 21: Jay spotted walking 'alone and fast', while Spanish police declined assistance from British cops Debbie, Jay's mother, disclosed on Monday that the funds are being used to cover the costs incurred by Jay's friends and family, including travel to Tenerife and accommodation.Warren Slater, Jay's father, arrived in Tenerife on Sunday, June 23, expressing that his son's disappearance "doesn't make sense.
Unanswered questions linger regarding the disappearance of Jay Slater, leaving many to wonder about his whereabouts.As the hunt for Jay Slater enters its second week, police in Tenerife have assured that they are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to find him, with emergency rescue teams aiding in the search. The last known whereabouts of Jay have been traced back to Rural del Teno, a mountainous region in the island's west.
