Gemma Collins has helped draw attention to the need for plus size inclusion in fashion, with the TV personality arguing passionately that 'style shouldn't have a size'
Gemma Collins has teamed up with Models of Diversity to raise awareness of the lack of plus size inclusion at fashion weeks across the globe. As part of the campaign, photos of the TV personality, as well as eight other plus size individuals, featured on a mobile billboard which was located on the streets at London Fashion Week on Friday, 13 September.
Giving the campaign her support, Gemma, 43, shared an empowering message as she opened up about the passion she had for the topic, stating that she “feels passionately about brands not just stocking bigger sizes but also including them on their catwalks, advertising and billboards.” Meanwhile, Angel Sinclair, CEO of Models of Diversity, added: "Style and size is not mutually exclusive, why should anyone be excluded from the fun and feel-good factor of fashion because they don’t fit outdated beauty standards… we’re on a mission to normalise fashion for all!"
The campaign comes after Gemma spoke to OK! back in April about her exciting plans for the future, and spilled all on her upcoming nuptials to fiancé Rami Hawash. “Everyone keeps asking us, “When is the wedding?” but we’re not going to do it until 2026 and it’ll likely be a winter wedding. Rami turns 50 that year too, so it’ll be a huge celebration. I spoke to an astrologer and they said that is the luckiest year to get married,” she said.
