Sitcom actress Georgia Engel, famed for her gentle speaking voice, has died at the age of 70.
A beloved star of Everybody Loves Raymond, Mork & Mindy as well as The Mary Tyler Moore Show, the TV actress was a five-times Primetime Emmy-nominated star.Georgia died in Princeton, New Jersey on Friday but the cause of death has not yet been confirmed.In recent years, Georgia found the greatest success in the role of Pat MacDougall on Everybody Loves Raymond.AdvertisementHowever, the actress’s last known filming project was another TV series called One Day at a Time in 2018.
Originally a ballet dancer and off-Broadway actress, Georgia’s career began in 1971 in a comedy called Taking Off.
