Fans are desperate to see Nicolas Cage's terrifying new horror villain in Longlegs, but the actor has been almost unrecognisable in the role
Nicolas Cage's transformation into the spine-chilling character for the upcoming horror flick Longlegs was so petrifying that it sent his co-star's heart rate soaring to 170bpm upon first sight of him in full costume.
The marketing for Longlegs has been shrouded in mystery, with all promotional content carefully concealing Cage's portrayal of the eponymous villain. Trailers have either shown the character from behind or obscured his face entirely, even using a black rectangle to cover him and ramp up the anticipation.
There have been snippets of the star in his new character on view. A widely circulated image reveals a glimpse of Cage's face, featuring a pronounced chin, puckered lips and puffed-looking eyes, reports the Mirror. Despite his mostly hidden appearance, fans have been given a dose of Cage's chilling voice for Longlegs, which is faint and reminiscent of a child.
