The evil killer has died at the age of 76 while serving a life sentence for the murders of Angelika Kluk, Vicky Hamilton and Dinah McNicol.
The notorious murderer, who had cancer, died at the age of 76 today. He had been serving a life sentence at HMP Edinburgh for the cruel killings of Angelika Kluk, Vicky Hamilton and Dinah McNicol.
Before Tobin was caged in 2007 for his heinous crimes, he served ten years behind bars after committing a double rape in 1993, following which he was released in 2004. Until his death, he had been serving a whole life order for the three murders committed between 1991 and 2006. It wasn't until he was snared in 2007 for the slaughter of Polish Student Angelika that he came into the public eye. The year prior, he had been working at St Patrick's Church in Anderston, Glasgow, under the guise of a 'handyman', giving himself the fake name Pat McLaughlin.
The case at the High Court in Edinburgh prompted detectives to look into Tobin's past, which led to his conviction the following year of the murder of schoolgirl Vicky, who vanished from a bus stop in Falkirk in 1991. Forensic officers dug up her remains from his Kent home during a search operation and also found the body of missing teenager Dinah, who had vanished in 1991 after hitching a lift with the killer in Hampshire.
