Ewan McGregor stuns punters with visit to new Edinburgh café

The Star Wars actor, 52, beamed as he posed alongside staff at Cappuccino as they each held up cups of coffee. The Scots actor, who hails from Perth, posed alongside the delighted employee in a casual t-shirt and navy jacket with a grey knit flat cap on.

Cappuccino has only been open in Scotland's capital for a week after revamping the former Urbane Art Gallery in the city centre, just in time for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival taking place all month. The actor would even walk around London while he lived there with his head down to avoid eye contact with people.

Ewan, who grew up in Crieff, Perthshire, says he misses the beauty of the Scottish landscape including one particular smell. He said: "I miss the landscape. I miss the air in Scotland. I miss the smell of the rain, the smell of the green and the colours of Scotland.
