Thank you all for your responses and advice. Dad has lived at his current home most of daughters life so this was never an issue with her spending weekends with him when she was growing up.
I think the only reason I’ve accommodated him coming to my home is because daughter feels comfortable seeing dad in her own home and if any disagreements occurred she could take herself off to her own room away from him. To be fair to him he has tried really hard to get things back on track .
I can’t see his housing issue changing anytime soon . I’ve asked daughter if she wants me to stop dad coming over if things are becoming to much she now only wants to see him fortnightly and would prefer him not to stay over. I do believe dad wants to be a better dad and does genuinely care and I really don’t want that to change and really want her to have him in her life as a positive role model. On other hand I do worry that if he becomes single again he will become a bit of an asse again.
