Glasgow Sheriff Court heard how the midfielder flew from Israel to plead guilty to careless driving on the M80 and was fined £4,500 and had nine points added to his licence.
The 31-year-old committed the crime on Glasgow’s M80 near junction two where he was clocked going at 95 miles per hour in a 50 zone in his Audi sports car.
The court heard that police officers had eyes on Bitton’s black Audi Q7 on the M80 at 9am on the day of the incident.Police moved their vehicle into a position to follow Bitton.
