Vincent Sweeney has organised the Maiden City Hyrox 2.0 competition
A number of former Irish League footballers will put their bodies through a whole new physical challenge next month. And it's thanks to one of their old teammates they once shared the dressing room with.
Sweeney has lifted himself to the elite end of the sport, having competed at the World Championships in France earlier this year. He secured a top-15 finish in his age category . "They might do the solo or doubles. I can't wait to see them, and I want to be around them and help them. It is always nice to give something back.
"But I always believed there would be something else for me, because I was always the fittest at each club I was at, and always breaking records.
