Former Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips says he intends to address his future shortly amid his lack of playing time for Manchester City. The Thorp Arch graduate swapped Elland Road for the Etihad in the summer of 2022 in a £45million move and despite ending last season with Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League winners' medals, Phillips was unable to establish himself a regular in Pep Guardiola's side.
A 3-1 victory saw England seal their place in next summer's tournament, but Phillips knows that he must be playing regular football if he is to make the squad that will travel to Germany next summer and add to the 30 international caps he currently has."I know that I need to be playing games and competing every weekend. I'm going to have to make a decision on over the next months," Phillips told reporters following the game.
