“It’s a bit of banter between teams, it’s nothing. Weghorst shouldn’t have to bring a statement out to be honest.“I think people like to make big things out of small things that he’s done, but I will look more at, ‘Oh I’ve done that and we’ve lost 7-0’. “That’s probably what he’s thinking, he’s tried to be cheeky and have banter before the game and do that but he’s lost 7-0 – it’s more embarrassing.“But I’m not sure Liverpool fans have a problem with him touching it, or Manchester United fans really.”
