Amanda Abbington today slammed the 'toxic environment' at Strictly Come Dancing as she repeated bullying allegations against Giovanni Pernice. The actress has made a series of accusations about the teaching methods of her dancer partner on Strictly.
Sam Quek says the recent scandals which have rocked Strictly should not 'take the shine' off what she describes as a 'fantastic programme'.
The hockey star, 35, also appeared to support Giovanni Pernice, who was Strictly's longest-serving male professional dancer until he was accused of bullying by Ms Abbington.
'It shouldn't take the shine off Strictly. It's a fantastic programme. Everyone loves it for the energy. Saturday night it brings people together.' The BBC presenter added: 'I've no dance experience. I'm here for the glow-up. Here to have a good time. I'm here to learn to dance.
