Ex-Rangers defender looks to resurrect career at Neil Lennon's former club after release.
The Swedish stopper was surprisingly released by Danish club Odense at the end of the season despite rejecting two bids from Anderlecht for him in January.
But last season, he managed 22 appearances for Odense in the Danish Superleague, won an international recall and was handed the club's captaincy. Now the 31-year-old could be set for a move to Cypriot football after ambitious Omonia offered him a one-year deal. Helander made just 35 league starts for Rangers after a £3.5m move from Bologna five years ago and netted an Old Firm winner in a 1-0 victory in August 2021.
And with the aim of winning League One next term, he reportedly views Goldson as a crucial part of that puzzle.
