Jury deliberating in new case against a former Judson ISD teacher who served 15 years for cyber-stalking his former student girlfriend — and one-time student

A former Judson ISD teacher sent to prison in 2009 for 15 years for cyberstalking his former girlfriend — a recent graduate of the high school where he taught — and others is heading back for doing it again. After hearing three days of testimony this week, a federal jury took a little more than an hour Thursday to find Steven Weste again used the internet to harass the woman and others close to her.

Ex-Judson teacher loses appeal in death-threat case Witnesses said the allegations were never substantiated. Once the ex-girlfriend saw them, she immediately recognized them as being Weste's work, according to prosecutors. 'Upon the Defendant being released from custody he resumed his harassing and threatening behavior,' prosecutors wrote in a court filing.

Former Judson teacher sentenced to 15 years for threats His lawyer, Gross, instead focused on attacking the evidence, and arguing that the prosecution had not met its burden of proof beyond a reasonable doubt. A federal jury convicted Weste in July 2009 of all 15 counts he faced, including threatening to kill several people, among them the ex-girlfriend.
