Slaven Bilic eyeing return to management after being sacked by Watford
Fresh from a six-month stint with Championship side Watford, Bilic is ready to step back into the dugout after becoming the seventeenth managerTrigger happy owner Gino Pozzo breezed through another three head coaches last season alone.Having previously managed in the Premier League with West Ham and West Brom, as well as Turkey’s Super Lig with Besiktas, a move to the Scottish champions would be of serious interest to well-travelled Bilic.
Having nurtured a golden generation of Croatia’s stars from their Under-21’s to the senior ranks, the former national team boss has plenty of experience at the highest level of the game. And Bilic is reportedly keen to add Scotland as his next destination as the search for Postecoglou’s successor heats up.
One source confirmed, “Of course, Slaven would be very interested in the Celtic job. They are a massive club with a fantastic tradition and history. These are things that are very important to Slaven. “As a player at Everton, he was teammates with lots of Scottish players and knows a lot about Scottish football. He knows all about the intense rivalries and has been part of many derbies in football, in London, Moscow, Liverpool, and Istanbul.
