Met Office forecasters predict Leeds could see its hottest day this week
Scorching weather is due to come to a head on Saturday, September 9, with temperatures reaching highs of 28C. This comes after a week of summer heatwave, with temperatures constantly in the high 20s.
Across Yorkshire on Saturday, Bradford is due 27C, Huddersfield 27C, Sheffield 29C and York 28C, with sunshine predicted throughout the momentous day. The hot weather is due to peak at about 4pm.On the outlook for Saturday, Sunday and Monday in Yorkshire, The Met Office said: "Predominantly fine and dry Saturday. Sunny spells and heavy, thundery, showers Sunday.
"Cloudier Monday with outbreaks of showery, possibly thundery, rain moving southwards. Very Warm. Cooler and cloudier along coasts."
