Snow on the way!
Nottingham is potentially set to be hit by 15 hours of snow and sleet showers as a big chill hits the country. The wintry weather could arrive in Nottingham on Sunday morning with BBC Weather forecasters predicting that sleet could be falling for two hours from 9am.
According to the BBC, the first snow will fall in Nottingham at around 3am on Tuesday - and then the broadcaster is predicting that there is a 15 hour window until 5pm when it could fall - either in the form of snow or sleet. Temperatures at this time will be as low as -2C.Thursday, March 9, will again be cold 1C, but it will feel even more chilly due to the northerly winds. Snow and sleet could potentially arrive at 6pm and continue until 11pm according to the BBC.
Looking further ahead there could be even more cold weather with the Met Office saying about the period from March 15-29: “Confidence is very low during this period in general. But late seasonal wintry showers are expected across the country as milder air becomes less likely to affect the UK.
