The bank holiday weekend forecast doesn't predict much sunshine
The summer bank holiday is almost here and while many will be hoping to get out and about over the long weekend, the forecast doesn't predict much sunshine.
Met Office meteorologists have even said Liverpool could be hit by thunderstorms on Friday as the weather takes a turn for the worse. Experts are predicting a "mixture of sunshine and scattered showers through the day". Showers "could turn heavy and locally thundery with the risk of hail", and the hourly forecast for Friday predicts any storms will arrive at 7pm and 8pm, when there is a 50-60% chance of rain.Looking ahead to Saturday, the Met Office expects "heavy showers changing to sunny intervals by early evening", with highs of 16C that will feel more like 13C. Showers will continue into Sunday morning before it turns cloudy but largely dry, with a maximum 20% chance of rain from 10am.
