Friday night storms are possible too
– The National Weather Service has upgraded the heat advisory across SE Texas to an excessive heat warning until 8PM this evening. This is because we are so humid outside it is causing portions of SE Texas to feel up to 118°. Please be careful in this extreme heat.
Actual air temperature is in the upper-90s but add 15-20° and that’s what it feels like outside. Please be careful and stay in the indoors if possible. Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity. Storms are possible are highest along I-45 and west this evening. The timing for Houston is between 8PM-11PM. Remember, summertime storms bring lots of lightning strikes and a heavy rain is possible.Temperatures lower a touch heading into the weekend because of more humidity. Make sure you are taking care of yourself if you are working or spending time outside.A tropical disturbances in the Central Atlantic has a 60% chance of development as it moves to the northwest.
