The discounts will be in place for two months

Nottinghamshire bus users have welcomed the announcement of a new price change announced by the Government that will see journey prices capped temporarily at £2

People in Nottinghamshire have now had their say on the "amazing" news. Ben Porter, 39, who was waiting for a bus in Mapperley, said: "I don't get the bus that often but maybe I'll think about it more now."They really did need to think about lowering bus fares because the prices can be ridiculous at times. I've paid over the odds for bus prices before and I think a lot of people will be happy to hear that.

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said the scene is aimed at allowing everyone to be able to "affordably get to work, education, the shops and doctor’s appointments".
